The British Invasion

With the royal wedding fast approaching (11 days, but who's counting) we're all getting into the British spirit more so now than in several decades. With 3am viewing parties planned, high-tea scheduled at Windsor Arms here in Toronto, and even some die-hards making their way to the streets of London to try and get a glimpse of the Royal Couple, it's safe to say we have a British love affair on our hands. Kate's engagement ring was even re-produced and sold out with-in only a days of the actual engagement announcement. As the whole world watches the new princess walk down the aisle all eyes will on her dress,  THE DRESS of the century as she has inevitably became a true style icon of our generation.

With-out a doubt the affair is making quite a spectacle in the fashion industry but who would have thought that all this English influence would become visible in our everyday lives? More so, who could have predicted that this British Invasion would set the direction for our home decor as well? But yet again, we see another cross over between fashion & lifestyle "trends" executed into interior design. One of the most recognizable British symbols is the Union Jack also known as the Royal Union Flag. This banner is now an icon and a very visible pattern in the design industry.

Here is my personal favourite

Want to feel like Royalty at the head of the dinner table?

If you're not as daring and don't want to invest in Trendy Furniture pieces but still want to pay homage to the British Style then wallpaper is a fantastic solution...
(I fell in LOVE with this print a few months back from Crown Wallpaper)'s time to say good bye to our dreams of marrying THE prince (come'on who didn't fantasize about becoming a princess) and say hello to British Stylized Interiors, I can guarantee we will be seeing lots more of these fun pieces.
